Megan Mazzoleni Dies in Edwards Ridge Road Head-On Collision

Megan Mazzoleni, 29, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, died following a serious two-vehicle collision in Rush Township, Tuscarawas County, on Monday morning, November 2, 2026.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 8 a.m. on Edwards Ridge Road Southeast, south of Ridge Road. Mazzoleni was driving a 2014 Ford Focus southbound with a six-year-old boy in the back seat. A 2020 Kia Telluride was travelling northbound, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Port Washington who also had a six-year-old boy in the vehicle.

Investigators said the Ford crossed left of centre and struck the Kia head-on. Both drivers became trapped and had to be freed using mechanical equipment. Mazzoleni, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Children Airlifted Following the Ohio Crash

Emergency responders transported the surviving driver to Union Hospital. Both six-year-old boys were flown by medical helicopter to Akron Children’s Hospital for treatment. Their conditions had not been publicly confirmed in the initial reports.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated that drugs and alcohol were not suspected as contributing factors. Investigators continued examining why the Ford crossed the centre line.
